Light (Heavy) Music

Light music is now one of the essentials without which the marriage reception these days are incomplete. Only the name is light where as the music is heavy, rather than heavy it is a menace. The noise is so heavy that it disturbs a good occasion of get together. I have attended so many marriages with light music. All I find is that they don’t allow me to speak with anyone. Finally end up with head and ear ache. Its true I am not joking. I do agree that they are entertaining but these create noise pollution.

It was well said by one of the environmentalist that India is a pollution loving nation.”We burst crackers on Dussehara ,Diwali and on the occasions of marriages other festivals. Also equally fond of noise pollution. Using loudspeakers, amplifiers and marriages are accompanied by bands, twists ,Bhangras and light music(newly added)and the list goes on.”

We can change everything. If u want to have music play it very lightly so that the get together is not spoiled. Why should we unnecessarily create noise pollution.I have decided not to have a light music in my marriage instead play instrumental songs via cd players very lightly.I hope all my friends would also change their opinion. The name itself should speak .Be light, stay light and the rest will be right.

i think you have mistaken what light music is.
go check here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Light_music

light music adds color to marriages or any other occasions. if you want a place to be get together, its a different thing. u need to arrange in a hotel where slow music is played.

in india, its not the culture. we have been following the heavy culture like using tabla, peepy, dum dum, molam, thapata etc

you shouldnt say that the noise coming out of this is a noise pollution. they are all good to hear.

sound is called noise pollution only if it irritates a person otherwise its music.
listen to its fruitness and u will enjoy
